The Aging and Adult Services department plays a vital role in supporting low-income, diverse Asian, and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander (A&NH/PI) seniors and adults who are age 55 and older, primarily in King County. Through its five core programs— Case Management, Community Living Connections, Health Home and Care Transitions, Food Bank and the Club Bamboo Senior Center—AAS promotes the health and well-being of these communities by providing culturally and linguistically appropriate support services, physical activities and nutritious meals. These comprehensive, integrated services are available directly through the agency or in collaboration with trusted community partners.
CLUB BAMBOO
Our senior center offers multicultural activities, nutritious meals, and a safe, welcoming space for adults aged 55 and older to connect with others and access services that promote their physical, social, and emotional well-being.
ACRS FOOD BANK
Our food bank distributes healthy and nutritious foods like rice, tofu, noodles and fresh produce that meet the cultural and dietary needs of Asians and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islanders across King County.
SENIOR LUNCH PROGRAMS
ACRS serves nutritious ethnic meals to older adults while they socialize, exercise and attend educational workshops in the languages they speak. Through partnerships with volunteer groups, meals are offered at accessible, community-based locations.
CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES
Multilingual staff conduct person-centered assessments to identify individual needs and develop holistic care plans for homebound seniors and adults with disabilities, empowering them to live safely and thrive at home with support from their families and caregivers.
COMMUNITY LIVING CONNECTIONS
Supports adults facing challenges related to aging and disability by providing easy access to information and connecting them with community resources through multilingual specialists.
HEALTH HOME AND CARE TRANSITIONS
Health Home provides long-term care coordination for Medicaid-eligible individuals by developing person-centered health action plans. Care Transitions offers short-term support to adults returning to their communities after a hospital stay.
