SEATTLE— Asian Counseling and Referral Service (ACRS) has received a generous $5,000 donation from QFC to support the ACRS Food Bank, which provides culturally familiar foods and essential nutrition support to individuals and families across King County.

The donation comes at a critical time as many households continue to face high food costs and increased financial pressure. The ACRS Food Bank, located in Seattle’s Chinatown-International District, serves thousands of people each year with nutritious, culturally familiar foods that reflect the diverse communities ACRS serves.

“We are deeply grateful to QFC for supporting the ACRS Food Bank and the communities who rely on this vital resource,” said Kendee Yamaguchi, CEO of ACRS. “This contribution helps ensure that families can access food that is not only nourishing, but familiar, meaningful and connected to culture and home.”

The ACRS Food Bank provides groceries, fresh produce and staples to community members, including older adults, immigrants, refugees and families experiencing food insecurity. The program also serves as an important connection point to ACRS’s broader network of culturally responsive services, including behavioral health care, aging and senior services, employment support, citizenship assistance, youth programs and more.

“QFC is proud to support the ACRS Food Bank and its critical work to ensure families have access to nutritious, culturally meaningful food,” said Tiffany Sanders, QFC Head of Communications & Public Affairs. “At QFC, we believe in strengthening the communities we serve, and we are honored to partner with ACRS in helping individuals and families access the essential resources they need with dignity and respect.”

ACRS thanks QFC for its generous support and partnership in helping strengthen food security for communities across King County.
