Position Hours: 5 hours/week during Mon/Wed/Thurs/Fri 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. (lunch provided).
Requirements: Experienced Barista preferred. Patience and an interest in improving the lives of persons from diverse backgrounds with Developmental Disabilities and/or other mental health conditions. Asian language skill is a plus, but not required. Must have or be able to attain a food workers card within one week of volunteering.
Desired Skills (in addition to above): Some Mental Health Experience.
Minimum Age Requirement: 20 years old
Duration Requirement: 6 month minimum
Responsibilities: Be in charge of operating the New Life Espresso Stand and teaching Mental Health/Supportive Employment or other ACRS clients how to make coffee and serve customers. Customers will be employees, clients, and the public. NL Espresso Stand profits support the New Life Day Activities program for members of the APA community with mental illness/disabilities. |
